There are no restrictions on the kind of cases you can present. It does not matter if a particular condition has been in our conference, even if it was presented this year. The images do have to be yours: this is not a radiology or an echo conference.

POCUS conference is a structured exercise.

Each case must include:

  • clinical history
  • formulation of a clinical question, for which POCUS was sought
  • reviews of US images, with the audience critiquing the findings and the technique
  • clinical follow-up and case conclusion, including relevant imaging.
  • review of literature on the role of POCUS in the specific clinical scenario being discussed
  • identification of gaps in evidence and possible directions for future research

Importantly, data from supporting literature has to be presented in a specific way. Here is a guide for presenting literature for our PCOUS conferences.  We have also created illustrative examples of presentations of a diagnostic study and of a meta-analysis. Of course you can always browse our archive.
