Requirements for Portfolio Image Collection

Cardiac, full study 40, including:

  • Non-trivial pericardial effusion of any size 5
  • Moderately or Severely decreased systolic Fx 5
  • Normal IVC (small size, + respiratory variation) 5
  • Plethoric IVC (large size, – resp. variation) 5
  • Hyperdynamic LV 4
  • Mod-Severe TR 3
  • Mod-Severe MR 3
  • Normal (each study must include all 5 views) 10

Pulmonary/pleura 40, including:

  • Lack of lung sliding 2
  • Simple Pleural Effusion 5
  • Complex Pleural Effusion 5
  • Lower Lobe Consolidation 5
  • Diffuse B-lines 5
  • Sub-plural consolidation/infarct 3
  • Normal A-line pattern 5
  • Lung sliding 5
  • Curtain sign 5

LE deep veins. each study must include compression at: 30, including:

  • CFV w/ CFA
  • CFV at influx of GSV
  • CFA at the influx of the lat perforator
  • bifurcation of CFV
  • SFV below bifurcation
  • popliteal vein
  • tri- or bifurcation of popliteal vein
  • Inguinal LNs (as a mimic of DVT) 2

Renal. Each study must include longitudinal and transverse views. 10, including

  • Mod or severe hydronephrosis 2

GU 15, including:

  • Bladder in a female. Must include 7

uterus (in both sagittal and transverse)

endovaginal stripe (in transverse)

  • Urinary bladder volume estimation 5
  • Intravesicular Prostate protrusion (in both transverse and sagittal) 5
  • Bladder in a patient with ascites (in both transverse and sagittal) 5

RUQ (gallbladder, portal vein, IVC) 25, including

  • pericholecystic fluid 2
  • Thickening of the anterior wall of the GB 2

Abdominal Aorta/IVC (from xiphoid process to umbilicus) 20, including

  • Complete aortic studies, which are to include the following: 10
  • Transverse views (with AP and L-R Aortic measurements)

celiac trunk level

level of SMA with splenic vein above and R renal vein below

Bifurcation of the aorta level

  • Sagittal Longitudinal at upper/middle portions. must show:
    • celiac trunk
    • SMA
    • AP aortic measurement separately at upper and middle portions
  • Sagittal Longitudinal view of the lower portion. must show AP size measurement
  • Take-off of renal arteries in longitudinal view (coronal or oblique or sagittal) 2
  • coronal view of IVC, showing entrance into the RA and hepatic vein 8

 

Musculoskeletal 20, including:

  • knee (suprapatellar bursa (transverse and axial))
  • cellulitis alone
  • Soft tissue abscess

Ophthalmic 10, including:

  • optic nerve sheath diameter in longitudinal 5
  • optic nerve sheath diameter in transverse 5
